Getronics Support BV is the Legal entity that manages financial relations with approximately 80 services partners, with whom Getronics provides on-site services in 100 countries. Service partners offer on-site support in the countries where Getronics does not has its own branches. Getronics offers global remote services in workplace management using Global Service Delivery Model (GSDM). The role of the service partners is essential when looking at the requirement to have standardized workplace management, without distinction between Getronics and the service partners.

As Finance Director Global Functions I have been responsible for the Getronics Support entity, amongst others, and therefore had the pleasure working with Niels.

Niels started with Getronics Support BV in September 2007 in a dual role. First of all where he became responsible for the risk assessment invoicing Getronics’ global clients, the financial relations with the clients and the margin analysis. The other part of the role was related to process redesign in anticipation to the acquisition by KPN later that year. Niels investigated, amongst others, AP/AR processes and month-end closing processes and proposed improvements to them. Niels’ revenue recognition knowledge helped to determine correct financial results in relation to the underlying contracts. He was a great help when preparing the due diligence package for KPN and his knowledge when dealing with auditors during year end was very helpful.

Niels showed himself a stable factor in a dynamic and sometimes difficult environment. He continued to deliver to my full satisfaction and made sure deadlines where met. together with the new interim team members that he helped recruiting and getting up to speed. I have known Niels as a very knowledgeable. hard working and sociable person with also a sense of humour, which appeared to be very welcome in a changing and unsure environment.

I can definitely recommend him as a qualified financial interim-manager.
