Niels joined Dept in January 2019 in order to cover for the recruitment of both a new CFO and group controller.

After a short training period, Niels took over the day to day accounting matters from the former CFO and soon he was busy with the operations, while the financial year-end was on the way. Besides that, he was responsible for bringing the audit of the 2018 financials to a good end.
Next to that, we asked him to look into a new financial consolidation and reporting package for which he set-up and managed the vendor selection.

Niels is able to think strategically and focus on details when needed, a rare and useful combination.

It was a pleasure working with him and I can recommend him for any senior (interim) finance role.
